Installation

Install from the Chrome Web Store for automatic updates.

Open the X Cleaner listing on the Chrome Web Store.
Click Add to Chrome.
Pin the extension icon from the toolbar.

Chrome Safe Browsing: After “Add to Chrome”, you may see that the extension is not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing. That is normal for new publishers (Google’s ~90-day history). The extension is safe.

How to use

Open x.com and make sure you are logged in.
Click the extension icon (popup) or use the on-page HUD panel on x.com.
Choose Following or Followers.
Leave Fast unchecked for Gentle mode (recommended / lower rate-limit risk).
Check Fast only when you need maximum speed and accept higher rate-limit risk.
Click Start Collection. The tab may open list pages and scroll while collecting.
After collection, use Filter — each option is Off / Exclude / Keep only (mutuals, verified, last post, bots).
Export CSV or Load CSV as needed.

Fast vs Gentle

Gentle (default): Slower page-native pacing (scroll + sniffer + DOM). May still use limited API recovery for shortfalls.
Fast: Bulk REST/GraphQL with faster scrolling. Higher chance of temporary rate limits or reduced reach.
